2009년 7월 7일 저녁, 안랩은 국가정보원과 한국인터넷진흥원으로부터 다급한 전화를 받았습니다. 바로 청와대를 포함한 국내 주요 기관과 기업이 대규모 디도스 공격을 받았다는 것.
On the evening of July 7, 2009, AhnLab received urgent calls from Korea's National Intelligence Service and Korea Internet & Security Agency(KISA). The news was critical: key institutions and major companies, including the Blue House(the office of the President), were under massive DDoS attacks.
안랩은 국민 안전을 위해 사이버 재난 사태에 대한 비상 대응 체제를 즉시 가동했습니다. 밤을 지새우며 공격을 분석한 끝에 공격 발생 18시간 만인 8일 오후 1시 29분, 1차 전용 백신을 배포할 수 있었습니다.
To protect public safety, AhnLab immediately activated the emergency response system for cyber disasters. AhnLab’s security experts worked through the night to analyze the attack, and released the first security patch to counter it within just 18 hours, by 1:29 PM on July 8.
이어 8일 저녁부터 발생한 2차 공격에 대한 무료 백신 배포, 이후 발생한 3차 공격에 대한 정확한 사전 예측까지.
And then, AhnLab also released another free security patch for the second wave of attacks that began on the evening of the 8th, and even accurately predicted the third wave that followed.
유례없는 사이버 공격에 대한 안랩의 민첩한 대응은 미국 CNN, 중국 CCTV, 중동 알자지라 등 국내외 주요 언론의 취재 요청이 쇄도할 정도로 놀라운 일이었습니다.
AhnLab’s rapid response to this unprecedented cyberattack drew international attention, leading to an overwhelming number of interview requests from major media outlets, including CNN (U.S.), CCTV (China) and Al Jazeera (Middle East).
